Benson High School Auditorium
“A vibrant celebration of world-class music and musicians from your very own Rose City.” — Oregon Symphony
ABOUT THE CONCERT
As part of the Oregon Symphony’s Sounds Like Portland festival, The Sound of Us is presented at Benson High School Auditorium and showcases bold new works by composers living and creating in Portland today, including Stacey Philipps, Sydney Guillaume, Cecille Elliott, and Pulitzer Prize-winner Caroline Shaw.
The program also features special guest Bora Yoon, whose genre-defying performances blend classical voice, electronics, and immersive media. Musicians from Fear No Music join the celebration, creating a rich, collaborative soundscape—a musical snapshot of Portland right now.
Performed in the newly renovated Benson High School Auditorium—a first for a professional music organization in Portland and a celebration of a local landmark—this concert also serves as an access point for young audiences. In partnership with Portland Public Schools, Resonance will provide free tickets for PPS students and families, and collaborate with PPS educators on related curriculum and engagement opportunities.
