Founded in 1964, Portland Opera gathers and inspires audiences, artists, and collaborators to create shared opera experiences that enliven and connect us all, enhancing the cultural landscape of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. They celebrate the power of performance, storytelling, and song as an inclusive artistic leader - realizing their mission and vision with a constellation of values that guide their work.

In addition to their staged productions, Portland Opera connects with the community at large through a series of programming and initiatives, including Opera a la Cart, Portland Opera To Go, free community performances by resident artists, and their Toi, Toi, Toi magazine (published in partnership with Artslandia). They generate positive impacts for our community, fostering and co-authoring collaborations and programs to achieve meaningful engagement.
