With a background in composition, harp, percussion, and piano, Kimberly is passionate about creating easily-accessed, unique, and memorable music events.

She has worked with schools, professional ensembles, and individual musicians to fund, organize, promote, and produce musical events for 10 years. As both arts event organizer and composer, Kimberly has enjoyed a dynamic career - including collaborations with dance, film, poetry, visual art, theatre, opera, environmental sound design, and stage combat. Kimberly is also passionate about creating arts experience that focus on accessibility, creative placemaking, and equitable arts environments.

As a composer, her music has been described as “brilliant,” “highly-engaging,” “wonderfully suspenseful,” and “intensely colorful,” and has received acclaim from academic and public audiences alike. Her works have been enjoyed across the country and internationally, including performances at the Aspen Music Festival, the Grand Teton Music Festival, the Dallas Contemporary Art Museum, IRCAM, the James Tenney Memorial Symposium, the Iowa Composers Forum, the Women Composers Festival of Hartford, the Oh My Ears Music Festival, the Orford Music Festival, and the Darkwater Festival.
