Programming with Purpose

Resonance Ensemble is a professional vocal ensemble in Portland, Oregon, committed to affecting meaningful change through exceptional and intentional performance. We specialize in concerts that support inclusive understandings of race, gender, religion, and sexuality through music, dialogue, and education.

Exceptional Artistry

Since its founding in 2009, Resonance has performed bold and innovative programs highlighting diverse professional solo and choral voices as well as other artists and collaborators. Resonance features underrepresented and local composers along with familiar vocal repertoire, and collaborates with arts partners including Poet in Residence S. Renee Mitchell, Pink Martini bandleader Thomas Lauderdale, pianist Hunter Noack, the Portland Chamber Orchestra, artist Therese Murdza, Friends of Chamber Music, the Portland Art Museum, actor Vin Shambry, and Cascadia Composers.

Tangible Connection

Described as "one of Oregon's most valuable musical resources..." (Oregon ArtsWatch) and “one of the Northwest’s finest choirs” (Willamette Week), Resonance Ensemble creates concerts that seek to inspire, move, and resonate with our audiences.

Come share in the joys of exceptional vocal music performed by some of the Northwest's finest professional musicians.
