Katherine FitzGibbon is Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Lewis & Clark College. She has served as Director of Choral Activities at Clark University, Interim Director of Choirs at Cornell University, and has conducted undergraduate choirs at Harvard University, Boston University, and the University of Michigan. She is the Head of Faculty at the Berkshire Choral Festival in Sheffield, Massachusetts. Dr. FitzGibbon has been Assistant Conductor of the professional ensemble Boston Secession, Chorusmaster of the Windsor Symphony Chorus in Windsor, Ontario, guest conductor of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, and a staff conductor at the Rome Opera Festival in Rome, Italy. She has directed secondary school choral programs, guest conducted honor choirs, and adjudicated solo and choral competitions. A lyric soprano, Dr. FitzGibbon is a frequent recitalist and oratorio performer.
Dr. FitzGibbon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Princeton University, Master of Music degree in conducting from the University of Michigan, and Doctor of Musical Arts degree in conducting at Boston University. Her doctoral dissertation discusses the use of historicism and German nationalism in the German Requiems of Brahms, Reger, and Distler.
Stephanie Kramer has a long history of working within the Portland Arts Community, including extensive volunteer and contract work with Cappella Romana, Choral Cross-Ties, Portland Pro Musica, and the Oregon Bach Festival. She has been the Principal Contractor for Cappella Romana since 2007, and has also served on their Board of Directors. Stephanie works as the Recordings Project Assistant at OCP (Oregon Catholic Press), and serves as the Managing Director for Resonance Ensemble.
Stephanie has been singing professionally in the Portland area for over 15 years. She has been a member of many distinguished local ensembles, including Cantores in Ecclesia, Cappella Romana, Choral Cross-Ties, Portland Baroque Orchestra, Portland Pro Musica, and Trinity Consort. She is thrilled to be actively involved in Resonance Ensemble and Portland's thriving arts community.
